The first installation of Folder Studio takes a few extra steps. Follow the guide below to install and open the app without disabling any macOS security feature.

Open the DMG installer

After the download finishes, open Folder Studio.dmg from your browser’s download list or the Downloads folder.

Applications

Drag the app into Applications

In the installer window, drag Folder Studio onto the Applications folder. Open the installed copy from Applications, not the copy inside the DMG.

将 App 拖入“应用程序”

在安装窗口中，把 Folder Studio 拖到“应用程序”文件夹。之后请从“应用程序”打开，而不是继续打开 DMG 里的副本。

First launch

Control-click, then choose Open

In Applications, hold Control while clicking Folder Studio, then choose Open. Confirm Open if macOS offers the option.

首次打开

按住 Control 点按，再选择“打开”

在“应用程序”中，按住 Control 点按 Folder Studio，然后选择“打开”。若弹窗提供“打开”选项，再确认一次。

Privacy & Security

If blocked, click Open Anyway

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Find the Folder Studio message, click Open Anyway, then confirm Open.

隐私与安全性

若仍被拦截，点击“仍要打开”

打开“系统设置 → 隐私与安全性”，找到 Folder Studio 提示，点击“仍要打开”，最后确认“打开”。

Troubleshooting

If “Open Anyway” does not appear

Try opening Folder Studio once from Applications, then return to Privacy & Security.
Make sure the app was copied to Applications and the DMG window is no longer being used.
Do not run commands that disable Gatekeeper. Contact support if the prompt still does not appear.

问题排查

如果没有看到“仍要打开”

先从“应用程序”尝试打开 Folder Studio 一次，再回到“隐私与安全性”。
确认 App 已复制到“应用程序”，并且没有继续使用 DMG 窗口中的副本。
不要运行关闭 Gatekeeper 的命令。如果仍没有出现提示，请联系支持。
